With SelfCollect, the entire testing process can be completed in 4 simple steps.

1) Order Your Home STD Test

From our at-home STD testing page, determine  which test(s) you need by reviewing the risk factors and symptoms.

Not sure which test you need? The generalized male and female STD panels test for the most common sexually transmitted infections. The symptoms and risk factors for many STDs are quite similar. Ordering a generalized panel, which can test for a wide range of conditions, will give you the assurance of knowing that you have a thorough understanding of your intimate health.

Oral STD panels and anal STD panels are also available which similarly test for a wide range of common sexually transmitted infections.

One of our most most frequently ordered tests is the SelfCollect at-home HPV test kit. HPV, or human papillomavirus, is currently the most common sexually transmitted infection in the United States. The CDC estimates that over 79 million Americans are infected with HPV.

Our high-risk HPV test kit, offered  for both men and women, offers highly accurate Nucleic Acid Amplification Testing (NAAT) which detects HPV-16, HPV-18, and 12 other high-risk HPV types. As high-risk HPV can be the cause of several forms of  cancer, frequent testing is recommended. And collecting sample is easy, safe, and painless.

Other available STD testing kits include Chlamydia/Gonorrhea, Herpes  Virus I & II, Ureaplasma/Mycoplasma, and Trichomonas.

Once you have selected your test, choose the body site(s) in which you desire to be screened. Next, proceed to the cart page to check out.

2) Retrieve Your At Home STD Test Kit From The Mail

4) Retrieving Your Results

Testing occurs quickly once we receive your sample. When your results are ready, you will be notified via your chosen method of communication (text message or email notification). For additional security, you will then be asked to enter your order number to view your test results.

Understanding Your Test Results

With a positive test, it’s often necessary to seek out the care of a qualified healthcare provider. Depending on the condition, you may want to visit a specialist. Women who have tested positive for high-risk HPV are advised to visit a Gynecologist for a routine Pap test. Men who have tested positive for high-risk HPV are advised to seek out the care of a dermatologist, otolarynologist (ENT) or urologist who can treat potential lesions.

Indeterminate Test Results

For indeterminate test results, that is we were not able to generate or determine a result for unknown reasons, we will automatically ship out one new kit to repeat the collection process at no charge. You will be retested for the infections that showed indeterminate results.
